Today is World Red Cross Day. It is celebrated as the #birthday #anniversary of #Founder #of #Red #Cross #Henry #Dunant .We also remember those men and women who put their lives in danger working for wounded soldiers and also those who during service of humanity sometimes lose them in the pursuit of their goal .
On world Red Cross Day ,we should remember these heroes and their sacrifices. Name of Bhai Ghanaya Ji may be put on top of the list of such heroes. He took upon the task of quenching the thirst of the wounded soldiers in the #battle of #Anandpur #Sahib in 1704 AD. He did this '#Sewa' with #love and #affection #without any #discrimination whether wounded soldier was #Muslim, #Hindhu or #Sikh. #Guru #Gobind #Singh #Ji was pleased and also gave #Bhai #Ghanaya ji #medical #Balm and said ' From now onward,you should also put this balm on the wounds of all who need it.
