ਵੱਡਾ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰਾ 5 ਫਰਵਰੀ, 1762 ਈ: ਨੂੰ ਅਹਿਮਦ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਬਦਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਬਦਾਲੀ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਤਲੁਜ ਟੱਪ ਕੇ ਮਾਲੇਰਕੋਟਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਕੁੱਪ ਕੋਲ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾਈ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ।ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ 50 ਕੁ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਸੀ। ਅਬਦਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਫੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ। ਐਪਰ ਥੋੜੇ ਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਹੰਦ ਤੇ ਕਸੂਰ ਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਆਸਾਂ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਫੇਰ ਕੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਨਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਕਨਾਚੂਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਇਸੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਿਤ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ,ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਪਿਆਰਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਲਹੂ ਭਿੱਜੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਪੰਨਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਸ਼ੇਅਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਤਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਜੀਓ ।

The Great Ghallughara took place on 5 February 1762, during the sixth attack of Ahmad Shah Abdali when Abdali reached Lahore while the Sikhs crossed the Sutlej and camped near Krup, near Malerkotla. The Sikhs had about 50 thousand at that time. Abdali's attack caused significant damage. However, a short time later, the Singhs captured Sirhind and the Kasur and recovered their hopes and hopes and demolished their plans.
